Our Directors
Krista Smith
Executive DirectorKrista is a former teacher at Urban Promise in
Camden. While she has an engineering degree, she
prefers to be involved in efforts to improve her
community. In 2024, using her God-given skill set
in philanthropy, she set out to start an Urban
Promise Millville location. She is currently working
to obtain her master certification in urban
planning. Her vision for UPM is just getting started.
Rebecca Kolva
Developmental DirectorRebecca comes from a strong background in
contract sales and community engagement. She
has spent the last 15 years in leadership roles, as a
sales GM and in Amazon operations. She is
currently a student at Johnson and Wales, pursuing
her Master’s degree. Rebecca has been with UPM
since day 1 and is excited to shift into this role.
Marketing DirectorNiamh Gardella
Niamh is the young, fresh face getting UPM seen
and recognized. With a background in photography
and theater, she uses her visual prowess and artful
eye to secure the attention we need across media
platforms. Niamh is also active within the camp on
a day-to-day basis and has been the head street
leader all 3 years.
Our Street Leaders
Philly🗽 is our movement time leader, the 4th - 6th grader’s favorite guy to rag on, and maybe the chillest leader you’ll ever meet. He loves the Yankees, Giants, and Rangers as well, collects jerseys, and loves his dog Juno. He is studying broadcasting/journalism with hopes of announcing a NY Knicks future championship game!😉

Elaysianna (or, as the campers call her, “E”) 🎨 She is our resident artist and leads all art classes. E wants to become an EMT. She loves Dr. Peppers, cats, and anything creative. She is an MHS 2025 grad and is a camp star! She is always doing the kindest things in the background and never looking for recognition. 🥹

Nora ☀️ is our kindergarten class’s fave!! All the kids flock to her. She is a hard worker, is almost fluent in ASL, and is in college to become a teacher! She loves to hang out with friends and always has a summer glow when the rest of us are drenched in sweat! She will do anything asked of her to lend a helping hand.

Kayla 📸 is a gentle and kind leader who sees everyone and always makes others feel loved and understood. She reminds us of Jesus. She just graduated from Drew University and hopes to work in media production. She takes beautiful photos, loves ice cream, and sings incredibly!! Everyone needs a Kayla in their life!
Nevaeh ✨ seems quiet at first— but she has said some of the funniest things at camp to date. When I see her handling a class problem, I walk away because she is quietly in charge and keeps our campers in line! She is kind, dependable, and a sweetie. She’s the oldest of 9, and her favorite animal is an arctic seal. She is a 2025 MHS grad!

Joanna 🌻 is studying to be a phlebotomist. She graduated last year from MHS, and she is currently in classes to pursue her career goals! She has a take charge mindset, is reliable, friendly, and enjoys helping in our creative class! Ask her to do anything, and she immediately gets it done! We are excited she returned this summer!

Mackenzie 🤸🏼 is entering her senior year at MHS. She travels with her cheer/tumbling team, wants to join the Navy, helps lead our dance and movement classes, and is an all-around active and hardworking student! She is quiet, laughs easily, and is always on the go! We are excited to have her back!!

Erik 🏀 also attends MHS, wants to be a barber and/or a mechanic, and loves playing basketball. He is funny, sweet, and all the street leaders work well with him. He loves Dr. Pepper, the movie Transformers, and ran track at his high school. We are grateful for his hard work and dedication!

Isabella (Bella) 🎀 will be a junior at MHS this fall. Her favorite hobbies include playing the piano and painting. She has just the quietest and kindest spirit about her, is incredibly smart, and loves the beach! Bella is quick to smile, and she fits right in as a leader this summer! She hopes to be a pediatrician someday!
1st Year Street LeaderStephen
Stephen is a MHS junior this year. He is great at math, loves to walk the neighborhood (gets his best ideas on a long walk), and hopes to be a welder in the Navy. He is smart, has a great smile, and enjoys playing basketball. Favorite meal is chicken alfredo, and his fave movie is Scary Movie 2!
Gabriella (Gabby) 💫 is also a MHS student. She loves a good nap, peach Red Bulls (to wake her up from the nap;), and the TV show Dexter. She is funny, talkative, and bold. She wants to be a medic and volunteers with the local EMT to gain experience during the school year. She also has pet birds!
